START WHERE YOU ARE
Cyddar can run on a personal computer or on a NAS alongside your library and download client.
Keep Cyddar beside the folders it scans and the clients it controls. On first launch, the walkthrough guides you through the paths, indexer, download client and library scan.
Install Cyddar on the machine where the media folders and download clients are reachable. Open the local page and follow the same guided setup.
Desktop installs bind to the local machine by default. For a NAS or another shared host, follow the container setup and keep the admin password set before other household members use it. Cyddar imports into the folders Hearthvue scans.
